Exports some/all/criteria-based layers to a variety of formats.
Can also export layers based on the information from a pre-existing CSV file.

Illustrator -- Export/Apply Layer Visibility based on a CSV file

Creates a CSV file and saves in it the layer visibility info, or reads the layer/visibility info from a pre-existing CSV file and applies its contents to the illustration.

Illustrator -- Convert Text Type

This script will convert text in a text frame from one type to another.

Don't you just hate it when you start typing in Illustrator without first creating a text frame, and then discover that your text gets deformed when you change the size of its frame? Now you can change this type of text to "regular" text!

Illustrator -- Combine Text Frames

This script will combine all/selected text frames into a single one.

Illustrator -- Import/Export All Text Frames (TXT, XML)

This script will create a text or XML file with the text from all text frames of an illustration. The file can be edited and then imported back to the illustration.

There's also another version for this script, in which the full formatting information is included. The file can be edited (also in Trados) and then imported back to the illustration. Very useful for translation workflows.

InDesign -- Import/Export All Stories (including Trados compatibility)

This script will export all stories from an InDesign file to text files, which can then be edited (in a text editor or in Trados), and imported back into InDesign. Very useful for translation workflows and does not require conversion of the file to INX.

This script will export all text frames from a Photoshop file to a plain text file, which can then be edited and imported back. Very useful for translation workflows.

Photoshop AutoSave, Illustrator AutoSave, InDesign AutoSave

Did it ever happened to you that you were working on an illustration in Illustrator, a layout in InDesign or an image in Photoshop for a long time and had forgotten to save it, when all of the sudden the application crashed or the power went out? Didn't you wish then that any of these applications would have an Auto-Save feature?

This application will automatically save the open document every x minutes or seconds.

This script will create a statistical report about a document in total and per page, including number of words, annotations, form fields, data objects, etc.

Add any piece of text as a watermark to all/some pages of a document. Text, position, size and formatting can be determined by the user as well.

Acrobat -- Quotation Marks Checker

This script will verify all quotation marks in a document and highlight the incorrect ones. Has 9 pre-defined schemes (single/double quotes, German style, French style and more).

Will count (and if required, highlight) all instances of a specific character. The character can be provided literally or using its ALT code.
This is useful for various editing and DTP workflows.

This script will open or close the pop-up window for all comments in a document. You can get it for free from here.

Acrobat - Create Comments Summary (TXT/PDF)

Acrobat -- Rename Bookmarks

This script will "flatten" all bookmarks in a hierarchy to the root level.

Acrobat -- Auto-Create Bookmarks (from folder structure)

This script will create a sort-of "index" bookmarks hierarchy based on the folder structure selected, including working internal bookmarks from each individual PDF and an exact replication of the folder structure, complete with relative paths.
Once the index is created it can be copied (using another custom-made script) to any PDF file.

Hello to all!

The purpose of this blog is to display my own custom-made scripts for a variety of Adobe application: Acrobat, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and more.
All of these scripts are completely customizable and of course I will develop new scripts by demand and suit them to your own needs.

Also, I will use this blog to discuss issues related to scripting and to Adobe in general.
